Bullo River Station is in the northwestern corner of the
Northern Territory near the Western Australian border. Encircled by the coffee
colored waters of the Victoria River and rugged hills inscribed with Aboriginal
rock art, this vast property is not only home to around 9000 Brahman-cross
cattle but also a stunning variety of local fauna species including wallabies,
dingoes, wild buffalo, a myriad of native and migratory birds, fish and the
omnipresent crocodile. The ‘Boab’ is Bullo’s symbol and these proud trees dot
the entire property lending their stature to what is already an impressive
landscape.
Access is possible by
4wd vehicle or by air
charter with transfers
arranged accordingly.
A purpose built guest
area consists of twelve
double/twin rooms each
with air-conditioning
and en suite facilities.
Located a few meters
from the main house, all
rooms have sliding door
access to the lawns
surrounding the
homestead. Of course,
guests are welcome to
enjoy full access to the
vast living areas of the
homestead plus use of
the swimming pool.
Breakfasts are usually
served outside on the
homestead verandah with
dinners in the main
dining room. Dinners are
informal and the menu
relies heavily on the
two exceptional products
of the property, namely
fresh barramundi
(hopefully one you have
caught yourself) and
organic prime beef.
Filling
your days is never a
chore at Bullo. The
friendly and capable
team will arrange all
your activities
tailor-made each day to
suit your wishes. They
will accompany you on
river cruises up the
spectacular Bullo River
Gorge to fish or spot
crocodiles, help you
interpret local
aboriginal rock art, or
introduce you to the
hundreds of bird species
that call Bullo home.
You might like to try
cattle mustering or
horse riding depending
on your riding ability
and on the station’s
mustering schedule.
Optional helicopter
trips can be arranged
for aerial sight seeing.
For those keen on
fishing, there are great
opportunities for river
and coastal fishing,
with unique chances to
access untouched local
areas by boat or
helicopter. All
activities on offer are

trips. Most activities
will include an alfresco
picnic lunch, allowing
you to explore the far
reaches of the property
or to spend more time
enjoying your chosen
activity. Light meals
are accompanied with a
selection of soft drinks
and the obligatory billy
