Feathers Sanctuary is a unique concept of combining first class
bed and breakfast accommodation with the beauty of our native wildlife; it is
truly the natural place to stay just minutes from Darwin airport and the City.
The purpose of keeping birds at Feathers Sanctuary is to
breed some of the rarer species held in the collection. Many of the birds being
held in the Sanctuary are not common in aviculture and we will continue to add
species.
Stay in one of four architecturally designed hut-style
rooms with indoor/outdoor bathrooms.
Each hut has a private
glass-fronted aviary,
split-system air
conditioning, ceiling
fan, digital television,
tea/coffee and
refrigerator.
Accommodation includes
daily breakfast and wine
and cheese on arrival.
The continental
breakfast includes fresh
tropical fruits, cereal,
yoghurt, toast, juice,
tea and coffee.
Breakfast is supplied in
the room for you to
enjoy at your leisure.
The
landscape has been
developed with the
purpose of attracting
the native bird life
that abounds in the
area. It will continue
to be enhanced with that
purpose in mind.
