The kauri villa has accommodated guests since 1890 and has been carefully restored by it's New Zealand owners and hosts, retaining it's rich New Zealand history with memorabilia and historic pieces within the lodge, mixed with informal elegance. Relax in the guest lounge by the open fire, in the sunroom library, or choose a wine from the bar to enjoy on the deck overlooking the three acres of gardens. Comfort-lovers can surrender to a massage, or soak in the jacuzzi overlooking the forest, after a day spent exploring nature in Waipoua. At night the Milky Way and night skies can be seen like nowhere else, as you fall asleep in the huge soft beds to the sound of our little native owls and rare kiwi birds.

We offer attention to detail, in relaxed gracious surroundings, with sincere staff from our local community. Candle-lit dinners are prepared by our chef, and served at a time of your choice in the dining room, with organic produce grown in our own garden, premium natural meats and served with notable New Zealand wines.

Four luxurious, uniquely appointed suites overlooking the forest, are housed in the historic farm buildings to ensure absolute privacy. Tile bathrooms, private lounges, en suites, sumptuous king beds, CDs, quality linen and fresh flowers fill your private and peaceful apartment. The landscaped gardens, filled with birdsong, lead to a native bush walk at the bottom of the garden.
